The office of Eden Tree Design Inc. is committed to the creation of timeless landscapes that draw on both the historic beauty of past masterpieces and explore modern alternative design solutions. Established in 2001, we provide a full range of professional landscape architectural services. We are a small, highly selective firm, with a thorough understanding of all design fields and their interdependence.
Based in Toronto, the majority of our projects can be found across the GTA., however, works includes projects in Germany, Florida, The Carribean, Niagara Region, Georgian Bay, and The Muskokas. Our expertise extends from private residences and vacation homes, to the planning and development of public urban spaces, condominums, restaurants, and boutique retreats.
Regardless of a project's scale, our commitment to exemplary planning, design and execution transcend all of our creations. Our goal is to provide our clients with a cohesive integration of architecture and landscape design.
A personal one-on-one meeting with all of our clients is arranged to visit the site and better understand their needs, establish a wish list and provide design suggestions and options for the space.
We develop to-scale rendered conceptual design layouts and elevations to present to our clients for approval. CAD design available upon request. A detailed design package is useful in cost estimation and tender development.
We provide design budgets for client approval, develop tender contracts for contractor bidding, review bids and award contracts, site supervision during construction phase, final staging of the site with furnishings and accessories.

“As a designer, I believe it is my responsibility to bring to life the unlocked potential in every space, no matter larger or small, to create a beautiful oasis to be enjoyed from within or a far”
For over 25 years, Eden Tree Design Inc. has been proud to work on some of Toronto’s most prestigious properties and exceed their clients’ expectations when it comes to achieving their dreams.
This was Eden Tree Design's first Toronto International Home Show design collaboration with the 2017 Future Dream Home team of builders, designers and organizers. Eden Tree Design was selected to oversee the homes placement on the site, many of the exterior facade finishes and design elements of the home itself and all of the landscape space. This also included the main stage, partner/suppliers pavilion structure and the Toyota display area and bar. The design of the landscape was created to soften the modern angular lines of the home, by utilizing repeated circular patterns in planting beds, walkways/driveway, spa, furniture, pea gravel areas, decorative screens etc. The theme behind the landscape was "Modern Zen" a theme Scott McCuaig, principal Landscape Architect and owner of Eden Tree Design, came up with after meeting the clients who will ultimately be living in the home, when it is rebuilt on their lot. Careful attention was made to ensure that the clients wish lists would be met and their daily routines of meditation and Tai Chi practice could be accommodated in a peaceful surrounding. By combining the simplicity of traditional Zen gardens with a modern twist of introducing intersecting circular elements to soften the home's clean and angular lines, the overall design achieved balance.
